These terms apply to the masking tool in the nonimo.ai guides: by dropping a document or pasting text into it, you accept them. The Nonimo app has its own terms. They do not apply to the identity-document tool: it reads the photo in your browser and sends us nothing, so we process no data on your behalf.
It takes the document or text, masks the personal information it recognises with placeholders such as [PERSON_1] and gives you back the result, with a list of what was masked so you can unmask whatever you want, and a download as PDF, Word or TXT, or in the same format if it is an Excel, PowerPoint or CSV file. Up to 10 documents a day per browser.
Check the result before you use it: the tool masks what it recognises, and the list shows you what it has masked. Only use it with documents you are entitled to process, and do not try to get around its limits or use it in an automated way.
If the document contains personal data for which you are the controller, you instruct us to process it on these terms (Article 28 of the GDPR and of the UK GDPR):
How we handle the data of the people who use the tool is set out in its privacy notice.
We offer the tool as it stands, and we can change it, limit it or withdraw it. Liability and the governing law are those set out in the Nonimo terms.
Version 1.2 · 1 October 2026. Says these terms do not apply to the identity-document tool, which sends us nothing.
